This document is an agreement between Tiger Wag, LLC and Client. Tiger Wag, LLC and/or its representatives (Independent Contractor(s) or employee(s)) will be hereinafter referred to as “Pet Sitter”. Pet Sitter and Client agree to the following terms and conditions.
Pet Sitter is authorized to perform care and services as outlined in this agreement. The terms of this agreement shall apply to any and all pets owned by Client, including any and all new pets that Client obtains on or after the date this document is executed.
Pet Sitter agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Pet Sitter.
If a medical emergency arises, Pet Sitter will make every effort to contact Client before seeking medical treatment for the pet(s). However, if time is of the essence or Pet Sitter is unable to reach Client, Client authorizes Pet Sitter to take the pet(s) to Client’s specified veterinarian or nearest veterinary hospital for treatment. Client agrees to reimburse Pet Sitter for all services rendered to the pet(s) should such a medical emergency arise. Client releases Pet Sitter from any and all liabilities related to transportation, treatment and expenses. If Client refuses medical treatment for the pet(s), Client releases Pet Sitter for any injury, damage or liability arising from failure to seek such care. Clients are responsible for the costs of any such medical treatment for pets and hereby authorize Pet Sitter to invoice for such costs.
Client is responsible for making sure that all of Client’s pets have received all current required and recommended vaccinations required by the State of South Carolina and the City of Mauldin. In the event Pet Sitter or a third-party (another pet or person) is bitten or injured by Client’s pet(s), Client agrees to pay all medical expenses, costs and lost wages incurred by Pet Sitter or third-party due to such injury. Client agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Pet Sitter, in the event of a claim by any person injured by Client’s pet. Pet Sitter is not responsible nor will be held liable for any veterinary expenses incurred on pet(s) during or after the pet(s) stay with Pet Sitter. With the interaction of pet(s), there is always a chance of injury and the possibility of infectious disease being passed between animals. Client assumes all risk of injury or illness to Client’s pet(s) during or after the boarding and/or pet sitting care of Client’s pet(s) by Pet Sitter.
Client’s pet(s) may have full access to a fenced-in backyard during boarding and/or pet sitting care by Pet Sitter, and the fence is not always guaranteed to be 100% secure. Pet Sitter does not accept responsibility or liability for any Client’s pet(s) that escape, are injured or become lost, fatal or otherwise, when pets are given access to the fenced-in area. Pet Sitter shall not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet that escapes the property, unless the pet was able to escape due to the negligence of the Pet Sitter.
Clients who fail to retrieve their pet after the service period identified in a booking agree that Pet Sitter may, in its (or his or her) sole discretion, place the pet in foster care, transfer care to animal control or other law enforcement authorities, or find other alternate care. Client agrees to reimburse Pet Sitter for all costs and expenses associated with such actions. Further, Pet Sitter expressly reserves the right, in its (or his or her) sole discretion, to remove a Client’s pet(s) from its care should Pet Sitter deem it necessary for the safety of a pet, the Pet Sitter, or any persons living with the Pet Sitter. Prior to removing a pet from the care provided, Pet Sitter will use reasonable efforts to contact Client and/or Client’s emergency contact (if provided) to arrange alternative care. Should Pet Sitter not be able to contact Client or Client’s emergency contact, Pet Sitter will use its best judgment to find alternative care for the pet until Client is able to retrieve his/her pet. Client authorizes his/her pet’s veterinarian(s) to release Client’s pet’s veterinary records to Pet Sitter in connection with any such relocation or re-homing of Client’s pet. In addition, Client is responsible for and agrees to pay all costs and expenses incurred by Pet Sitter in connection with such transfer.
